If you take a look at the Logitech Quickcam 4000Pro (about 60 quid). This
is one of the few webcams to use a CCD as opossed to a CMOS for image
capture. If you wan't a demo of frame rate then contact me off list and I
will do the instant messenger thingie with it so you can get an idea (This
is worse case cos you have network delays).

You can see a fairly static picture of my home office taken on this camera
(update every 10 seconds) at http://www.ian-willoughby.net

For our wedding we are planning on having a Big Brother style video
diary room my original idea wsa to use a pc with a webcam attached
and use motion detection software to remove user interaction , to
save space and capture those off the cuff moments) but the
resolution/frame rate capture is poor i have also seen these
