Re: Re: Quiet PC Cases

Yeh this is the way to go.... Kill the fans.

1 - Buy quiet harddisks
2 - Silent CPU fans < 15db Havent tried the Zalman was going to but I
got a
different one after reading up on tomshardware favoured the one I bought
over the Zalman even though the Zalman was the more tempting buy :)
<hardcore stuff>
3 : Optional try one of these air exhaust wrapper things that you slap on
the CPU fan.
4 : Water Cooling ?
5 : I took apart my PSU and slapped in some real silent fans.
</hardcore stuff>

Result of 2 + 5 = the gibson : http://www.shaf.net/gibson1.jpg
If I was to slap that into a case it would be DEAD silent... Currently you
can hear a slight hum from the PSU if you get your head close to it and
risk
getting electrocuted ;)
