Please put me right if I'm being dim. But for a Slimp3 system, the audio
fo=
r
each room comes out the back of the Slimp3 unit. Therefore If you've got
al=
l
your amps at node0 you have to run audio feeds back from the Slimp3s in
eac=
h
room to node0. Or has someone found a way to 'remote' the slimp3 controls
away from the audio bit?

I assume that if you have a Slimp3 in each room, you need the audio from
th=
e
back of the unit to go up to the ceiling void (easy if you're installing
th=
e
thing in the wall), to the amp/speakers for each room. Therefore a ceiling
void type amp, with a nice power solution is what you need, a bit like one
of the first suggestions of ripping apart a PC speaker set.

Mr Richer does a very nice amp for this kind of thing, its the
Cambridge Audio P-500. I'm sure someone on the list has about five
of them in his Node0. Unfortunately, its not cheap enough, at =A3149.
Unless you buy it with the accompanying preamp, as a C500/P550
bundle, in which case the price rises to... =A3119.95.

I've admitted defeat on most of my zones and gone mono (and back in
some ways to my roots) using an eBay sourced four zone background
music amp, which has all sorts of interesting terminals on it for
source selection and volume control... Mono is fine for the
bathgroom, kitchen etc.
