I've been running the free AVG for quite a while, it often prompts to say
"Virus found in Email" and I've installed on other PC's to
successfully
clean virus infections. Updates seem quite regular, I have broadband and
set
the system to check for daily updates and so far haven't been hit by any
viruses.
You can switch off the certify message in the AVG Control Centre's
"Email
Scanner" tab in the free version.
