NO Mr Plod doesn't like alarms, until the recent changes with the ACPO
Policy and DD243 vast resources were wasted on attending troublesome
systems.
The Police are trying to provide a service with diminishing resources
that's
why they want the income from speed cameras, the blame lays with the
Government not Mr Plod its just the same as the NHS.
With regard to their lack of enthusiasm to attend to unapproved
installations why should they, its everyone else who has to pay the cost.
The administration charge of £30.00 to issue a URN no where near covers the
real cost, what is wrong with someone making a contribution for a service
they want that others may not.
Personally I think they should be allowed to make a charge for each false
alarm they attend, the fire brigade and ambulance both do.
