Yes I do want to store macros in it, and then disconnect the PC!

Just use a RF remote to send a signal and run a macro to control
dimming lights etc.

So as I understand it providing I have the mains ON all the time the
batteries will never run down (other than there natural discharge
rate)?

Sorry for this long question, but i read an article on the CM11 from
usa and he complained he was changing batteries every 3 weeks?
