Re: Not Home Automation but more Work Automation (UKWA)

hiya!
looks like the chappie - APC looks like they have expanded & renamed it
too!
I suppose 'Environmental Monitoring' sounds better than Measure UPS :)

Take a look on the APC site - just to be sure it will fit your model APC
etc...
http://www.apcc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=47
http://tinyurl.com/f9o7

The range looks like it could have expanded since I last looked. (its been
a
while) - The units in the photos used to plug into the interface expander
on
the APC or into an interface expander via an external case. Alerting still
seems to be there tho via PowerChute and can be based on temperature
humidity and even smoke alerts too!

Hope it Helps
Wayne.

Hiya,
just a quickie - if you have (I would hope!) battery backup for your
servers - and IF its an APC unit - they do a little addon called a
'Measure
UPS(?)' that has NO / NC contacts as well as an external temp sensor.
This
can then be tied into thier PowerChute software -which in turn can
generate
alerts etc...

hope this is helpfull
Wayne.
