Thanks for posting the link - we caught this evening's show.

(The above paragraph will mean nothing to the younger members of the
list... basically, in the old days, you had to watch programmes at
the times they were transmitted by a broadcaster. Some people still
have such old technology in their homes.)

I was interested by the one bit of automation that _was_ featured - a
light in a staircase that came on automatically.

Alas, no comment on how it worked, but the presenters did comment
favourably on it as a nice feature!
