DVD movies are usually 2 4.5Gb layers stuck together - for this reason it
isn't possible to just "back them up" onto a single 4.5Gb blank
DVD. It is possible to split them onto 2 DVDs or to resample the original
DVD at a lower resolution to make it fit - To do this you generally:
a. Sample the DVD to you HDD (RIP)
b. remove all the stuff you don't want (Subtitles, additional audio,
special features etc.)
c. Resample the film (If necessary after b.)
d. Burn to Blank DVD. Datawrite are as good as any.

Note the resultant DVD can just be diskcopied by Nero or similar.

I have a complete "Idiots Guide" to the above including download
locations for all the software required. I will email it to you off list.

Tim.
