Hi Paul

Sorry I'm picking up this thread a little late!

When I converted my barn and was at the first stages I was uncertain
quite what I was installing. As a result I star wired rooms with
shielded CAT5 to various points, including double runs to every light
switch point.

I subsequently installed c-bus using some of this wiring for that
purpose. Much remains unused but certain amounts have been used for
transmitting data, IR, Comfort and such like.

I've experienced NO problems and my c-bus network has been in place
for nearly a year now. Although its got bigger :-).

Keiths reply is 'bang on' IMHO.
