it still comes into play as you never saw the goods.

Subject: [ukha_d] Distance Selling query for a TV
Our ancient TV for the bedroom finally gave up the ghost, and I did ask on
the list about TFT options, but I really want a widescreen unit, so that
was scrubbed.
So , I bought a 24" Philips Widescreen unit (24W6006) from a company
that
has a website, called them up on the phone, ordered it, done. Next day
delivery.
Problem is, the unit make a nasty high pitch whine - like most TVs do -
but it really is very annoying !! It's much more pronounced that anything
Ive ever had. Now, does the distance selling act come into play ? I can
call them up and say I dont want the unit ? As I called them up there was
no website involved - and do they have to come cellect it ?
Then, any suggestions for a good 24" widescreen TV !! ???!!!
Cheers
G.
