I'd agree with Ken, under normal conditions with a fairly average movie
soundtrack it's fairly un-noticeable. The PJ has two settings for the
lamp High and low, at the low settings the fan is much quieter. They
recommend the low setting to get the 5000 hour lamp life.
However, if I was doing it again, I'd definitely build some sort of
recess or hush box in the wall to take the PJ and cancel out the noise
completely. Most people find the noise level acceptable, especially
after the jaw hits the floor due to the picture quality :-)
