Hi Patrick

I was going to buy a couple of the 20x4 VFD's from Farnell as they support
full emulation of the standard LCD's and have graphic capability too. They
also look so cool and I was going to replace my existing LCD on the boiler
monitor with one and use the second to write some nifty graphics for a
future idea.

By the way, my site has more stuff on it. Not everything as yet as it eats
major big time just getting it as it is. You know this yourself already.
:o)
I will be putting some schematic and PCB stuff up later on in the week.

Regards for now
Dave...

I have both 3 serial LCD and 1 VFD off-the-shelf displays - I think
these will all go into a UK double wall box ok (I'm just fiddling in
the workshop now). The PIC custom LCD currently uses a Samsung(?)
display from Farnell - generally the interface is pretty standard
though, so driving others shouldn't be a big deal.

Docs and pictures are lagging behind real progress - the doing is
much more fun :-) I am pulling stuff together into a revamped
website, and will post when it's done, but it's taking a while.
Afraid it won't be to the same standard as wormpurple's or Dave M.'s
sites last week.

Patrick
