I think I use the original one, which is open source and compiled
myself.. there certainly isn't anything that would qualify as
'spy-ware' in it. As far as torrent TRACKERS go, some of them have a
lot of advertising... but you can run your own tracker really easily
(its just a flag when starting the program)
