I have never used ebay - mainly because I just can't be arsed to get into
bidding (but I could do with a couple of 128Mb or 256Mb RIMMs if anyone has
any they want to sell) however for a plasma then I would certainly suggest
that you *AVOID EBAY LIKE THE PLAGUE*.

Plasmas are fragile as hell ... as Patrick says they are a glass sheet but
also they are a very *THIN* glass sheet - even laying them horizontally
(let
alone transporting them horizontally) can cause them to crack and couriers
really don't give a toss!

If you are thinking of a plasma from ebay then just go look at one of the
cheap plasmas that are available retail - sure they won't be as nice as a
latest gen Panny panel but they'll be OK and you'll get a warranty and
someone to shout at if there's a problem.
