Hi Kevin,

The boiler control module opens and closes the valve as per the original
controller by supplying 240Vac to each valve. Once the valve is open, this
sends 240Vac to the pump to start it and this is also sent to the boiler to
start this at the same time if required. The pump is only on when either or
both valves are on.

I should have a complete drawing of the system done shortly.

Each radiator has its own thermostat valve. There is no requirement with
this boiler to have a bypass so there is no radiator always on.

One other thought - you mentioned the 'valve' turning off and causing the
peak - is there any possibility this valve is opening and closing at all in
some way at night - or is it literally switched by the timer. Not quite
sure
what closes and opens the valve from the description.

The bigger oscillations seem inkeeping with water not flowing through the
boiler (or a much reduced flow rate)- perhaps pump switching or the valve
or
maybe it is the TRV's - very interesting Dave..
