RE: Boiler control update and query

Guys, as I have just fitted a new combi I was planning to automate it, but,
it comes with a digital screen on a box of tricks, can this be automated?

Also can you point me towards the kit you are using? i.e. what is CAN?

Ta,

B.

The boost on the central heating is a bonus if I am working late on the
computer at night. I simply bring up a Windows application and hit BOOST
on
it and a command gets transmitted via CAN to the controller and hey
presto,
the heating is back on. As I am in the far end of the house to the
controller, this is a great labour saving device :O)

Not quite the winning boost as using RF and a remote by the bed for wifey.
She pokes a finger out, decides it is too cold and presses a button - hey
presto, one or four hour boost depending on the button. A real winner this
one I promise. Of course I can then override it if I am awake as she tends
to be a little cold blooded at the best of times ;-)
