Bluescreen with inaccessable boot device has being my experiance.
One solution is to remove the ACPI PC device and shut down, this will mean
it
comes up in safe mode and reinstalls stuff, but still no good with a
SATA/Raid/SCSI type situation where you need drivers for the boot device.
