RE: [OT] Terabytes [was IDE]



The box shown is only an 8 bay.. Excuse my ignorance but how do you get 16
drives in an 8 bay. + are you using serial ide, if so how good is it ?
Do you have a spec sheet on your movie server ? What is the quality like ?
How are you getting your movies to the screen/amp/speakers ?
I am certain to have lots more questions.... :-)

Yup ... passed it a good while ago. 12 x 160Gb drives in one machine. Full
of ISO DVD images as my movie server.

Would have 16 x 160Gb drives in it (the "spare" 4 x 160s are
currently in my
FTP server as a 640Gb array) but I can't get them all internally however
someone on here found these guys

which looks like it might just be the chappie for the job.
