RE: ZigBee and Zenzys
They are different - aparrently.
Not speaking from personal understanding but according to a recent thread
on the HomeSeer forums site Zigbee does not have the RF repeating function
built in. I did not follow the thread far enough to learn if there are any
areas of compatability/overlap.
The thread also put the Zwave significantly ahead in terms of time to
market based on the fact that in the US product is available now.
HS does have a commercial interest in Zwave in so far as they are pushing
their support for it.
IIRC there is a news item on the Automatedhome site with an announcement
that Autom8it in the UK ( http://www.autom8it.com/) are
partnering with Zensys. - I have no association here, just springs to
mind.Sorry if there are others on the list in a similar
position......either I have forgotton or did not know in the first place.
