There are two C-bus protocols - the one actually on the wire between
devices and the one out say the RS232 interface which is the one you're
interested in. The former is totally confidential but full details of the
RS232 based one is available to 'C-Bus Authorised Developers'.
However in recent weeks Clipsal have also made a subset available
publically to interested parties - you can get this after jumping through
some hoops on the Clipsal web site at
http://www.clipsal.com/cis/profile.php3
(click on the C-Bus Protocol link)
or you could control it via xAP (from ascii RS232) and the xAP to
C-Bus gateway ;-)
