Re: OT Draytek Vigor 2600 Users
Ok - a update - Have managed to get a pptp tunnel set up between an xp
machine and the remote network so ta for that (god knows why the l2tp/ipsec
didnt work)
>from
ping a server on the other lan
telnet to another server and perform dos type commands on it (with the
telnet w2k service)
access a web page on the server (the default is the standard 'under
construction' one) and even interact with exchange2000 web server and send
an email with it
I can even get the remote server to 'ping me'
BUT
(the but)
can I get a 'terminal services' session onto either of the servers CAN I
HELL!
(yes both have TS running, one in app mode and the other admin - and yes
they allow you to log on if you RAS into the network or work locally)
TS client must 'see' the server as it seems to start the process up and I
get the 'login box' up waiting for a user/password - but nothing I type
appears to get sent to the server and it doesnt send the updates back to
the
screen. After about 10 or so keypresses I get the standard 'bong' from the
soundcard and the thing just times out saying the server doesnt respond...
Well
I'm stuck
HELP!
Wayne.
