<OPINION Mode="Slightly Biased">
KAT5 is definately not overkill :-)
</OPINION>

You can do it with KAT5 for less that £160.

you already have this setup....

Tivo-RGB2S---Long_Lead_To_Projector-----Projector

A KAT5 transmitter can be connected in parallel to another device if the
termination resistors are remove from the input to the transmitter (or not
fitted in the first place). All you need than is a slightly modified lead
to
connect the input of the KAT5 TX to your existing kit. As long as the
projector remains connected to the end of the cable everything is correctly
terminated. (Bugger... just done myself out of the sale of one unit!!!)

Tivo-RGB2S--\    /-Long_Lead_To_Projector-----Projector
\  /
\/
KAT5-TXU----------Long_CAT5_Cable-----KAT5-RX

*TXU = Transmitter with input termination removed.

I am currently using a similar arrangement at home

Tivo--\    /-Lead_To_Main_TV-----TV
\  /
\/
KAT5-TXU---RXU---RXU---RXU---RX

Hope that helps.
