I bought an xbox memory card for about £6 from ebay and It came with a lead
that had plugs on it - you didnt actually need the lead for the memory unit
but this may be a cheap way to source the plugs.

Hi Paul,

Your more likely to find and ps2 type plug than the one that goes
directly into the Xbox.

I saw these in france a while back at 70euro and was planning to use them
in
the rooms for controllers but still need to get the controller wires from
node zero to the rooms as node zero is to be downstairs.

I might try and coble together a lead myself and see what distance I can
get
over Cat 5 before it stops working.

Anyone know if it is possible to buy the controller plugs and sockets
seperately or is it a cut and splice job on an existing extension cable?

Regards

Paul

Yes, I bought 4 on-line from a place in Stoke I think. Can't find the
link though :-(

Dabs sell them for about £4 but are showing availability in 3 or 4 days.

They are about 3 meters long and work a treat. I did join 3 together to
test and it worked fine!

Cheers
Don

Hi all,

A while back there was a discussion about the opportunity to increase
the length of the controller cables for the Xbox.

Did anyone have any joy with this??

Having succesfully chipped my current box, I am thinking about adding
a couple more (one in the main bedroom and another in one of the
guest rooms) but would like prefer that they be mounted downstairs.

Will be waiting for the pre christmas price war before buying but
need to consider the wiring in the new house.

Cheers

Paul

P.S. The total distance is likely to be about 20M
