Hi Nicola, welcome to the group. I have a feeling that many on here
will point out that there is precious little in the way of installers
Smart Home technology in this country. There is reasonable
availability of Audio and Video installers, but they tend to
concentrate on high end multi-room systems or expensive home cinema
that is beyond many of us. Certainly there are very few people who
install x10 based devices and so most of us are diy. I'm concious
that I'm not really answering your question, but the best I can offer
is the logic behind the choices I made in terms of individual bits of
technology and products rather than any views on complete systems or
installation services.
