LV halogens are (at full brightness) an intense white, with a highly
focussed beam, due to the small filament size.  mains halogens are a
sort of dirty yellow.  The filament is physically much bigger, and
so the optical "quality" of the beam is less good.

So although you can filter LV to get many different "sites", HV
hologens never get to where LV go.

Stick colours in the way, of course, and the CT question goes away :-
)
