Sky+ has two tuners, but each one needs its own separate coax to the dish.
You cannot make a Y connection on the coax between a digibox and the dish.

The LNB is the box that sits in front of the dish and collects the
reflected
signal. It has an oscillator whose frequency is shifted according to a
signal the digibox puts on the coax. This reduces the frequency of the
satellite feed down to something the coax is capable of carrying.

That's why you need a double or quad LNB.
