I'd check with the Council's planning department before you undertake *any*
work. Some Listings can be very restrictive as to what you can & can't
do, even *inside* the property.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if the temperature exceeded
50 degC in there in summer, even without then adding a further source of
heat (i.e.the AC unit).

I bet the car park has reasonable ventilation though, and a substantially
larger volume of air in which to disperse the heat generated by the AC
units..
