Re: Re: Whole House Music Servers

I am currently in the process of doing what Mark has setup except I can
have
the best of both worlds.

When the PC in each zone boots up, it starts a browser and the home page is
the MP3 server.
IIS5 is installed on the MP3 server and i've also installed One Web
(www.oneweb.co.uk) so each zone can play it's own toons.
Also running on the MP3 server (in the startup folder) is Winamp 2.80 and
it
has the Shoutcast plugin installed. This means all zones can 'tune' into
the
same internet radio station (I think I can run more than one 'station' on
this
plugin so I could have a pop station, a chill station and a dance station.
I've had this working on two pc's (ie two zones) and it's syncronised.

The only thing i've got to work out is can I call Winamp from within a
browser?
Then the home page would have the 'stations' and One Web.

Hope this helps someone!!
