This is off topic and I've mailed you an answer for pros and cons to having
a cluster at home.

Let me make it clear I'm not talking about having clusters at home.

I'm more interesting in either building a decent sized one myself and
throwing it in a datacentre. Prolly a 1Rack cluster would set me back
£20,000 in hardware and then they'll be the rental + ISP costs.
