RE: LED Replacement to Mains Halogen



Is it a sealed unit, or would it be possible to rip the capacitor out
without causing too much damage? I thinking here of driving the LEDs
directly from a microcontroller.

With the housing it's 70mm high.. the actual unit is the same as a standard
halogen, there is absolutly no heat what so ever.. If your short of spac,
it's not a complex unit. and there for easly made up, just a Capactor
driven
voltage drop and a set of led's Vey easly made up.. possibly with a load
more leds for more light..

If anyone wants some close up pic's just ask and I will post them..
