For the record, the reason the thread is closed is because it seemed
to be getting into a personal battle and that is not something any
of us likes to see.

A thread will not be closed here just because it is 'Off Topic'
because this is a friendly forum (though please don't take the
p*ss). But I do feel well within my rights to close a thread that
looks like it is degenerating into a slagging match.

For what it's worth, the 'Speed Cameras' thread was not closed by a
moderator as far as I am aware, but it too looked like it could get
out of hand, so in the interests of limiting the number of wars in
the world right now, lets close that too.

Those of you that know me personally should realise that I do not
like to step in and pull rank, but on this occasion my decision
should be considered final unless Mark over rules me.
