None of the particular 10 chosen to be called the top 10 for the
purposes of the book. It is however not proof that not using frames
is a sign of a good site or that all the sites have tried them or
reasearched them. Not it is proof that framed sites cannot be
successful or that frames should not be used.

That is really only part of the point I made. Google does not make a
good template for web sites because of it's lack of ease of use for a
newcomer.

I do not actually see any of the quoted sites calling this a seminal
book or even mentioning it! Barnes and Noble being a bookseller will
likely have some such blurb since it wants to actually sell the book.

Maybe you would like to point out where these obviously top 10 and
completely independently developed sites [sic] pour such praise onto
their former web consultant turned author.

I have yet to see a web site quoting *this* book as inspiration
despite your suggesting some earlier in the post. I am sure if you
look hard enough there is a site quoting "HTML for Dummies" or
something as inspirational.

Mark.
