Hi,

I have an old 3870 (using bluetooth for ActiveSync and internet through a
T39).... the difference is: processor, display and the integrated IR
remote.
Go for 3970.
If you want 802.11, then buy an external PCMCIA jacket (with an extra
battery inside) and a PCMCIA wireless card.
The fingerprint reader in 5450 is just a gizmo...
I don't think it is something really needed.
