Amar,
I came back to the UK after a few years living in the US with a US licence
and
no other and was able to get insurance with co-operative. They were very
helpful and even gave me some no-claims. First year was preyy heavy
premium but
after that it came down. Yes I know, only supposed to drive for a year on
a US
license :->>
