As we all know, one of the most important things for HA is that it is SWMBO
Friendly.

That is the status granted to the speakers in the bathroom that allow CD's
to be heard whilst relaxing in the bath.

So.. where does the title of this message fit in ?

Sharon relaxing in the bath listening to CD's

Keith in the lounge working on Decoding Sony IR codes.

Got it working for a Sony TV with a device ID of "1" but noticed
that the
teletext buttons have a device ID of "3". Then experimented with
VCR, VCR2
and VCR3 getting good results.

Time to try some more codes... CD. device ID of "17"
Codes worked OK but guess who forgot that the CD player was a Sony. Whoops
:-(

Loud shout from the bathroom to put the CD back on.

Decide that to keep the peace in the house I must not use the CD codes
again. Look in the "One For All" booklet for the codes for
Laserdisc as that
is device ID "6" and will not upset the CD player.

Happily observing the decoded results - Device 6 - Key xx
Working my way round the keypad as I had done before when I discovered a
code that wasnt a "6"

"17"... didnt see the actual keycode as my attention was
distracted by the
drawer on the CD player opening accompanied by another shout from the
bathroom.

BUGGER !!!!

Never mind, at least I have had some success with decoding IR :-)
