I don't think I've ever switched mine off, unless it throws a dippy fit,
which has only been once or twice.

I tend to leave mine on all the time, although I am not sure if this is
a good thing?

The reason for this is that the power button to bring it back on tends
to switch the TV off if I switch the TV on first at the main power
switch. :o(

That's a bit of a bugger then regarding the standby button!

So what do people do? Just leave their TIVOs running? Or keep the
remote
around?
