www.smart-house.net requires Flash 6, which is not available for any
open OSs. Nor, I suspect, will it work with any speaking browser for the
visually impaired. There does not appear to be any alternative
navigation option not using Flash 6. This is crass design. They appear
to be excluding a significant sector (e.g. the technologically
experimental and the visually impaired) of the market to which they
should be appealing. If this is an example of their technical know-how
and design competence, is there any reason to believe that the magazine
would be a good buy?
