Hi Guys
Have mentioned before about using Xap to display messages on a tv using a pic and an OSD chip , no  response but i would still like to have a go just to dip my toes in the xap waters so to speak........ I have had the pic receiving serial messages  and displaying them on my tv using hyperterminal to send the messages and was able to flash some messages by using the ascii  bell character so i think that xap is just (hopefully ) a couple more notches up the rung ..........What i need is some simple program were  i can type in the xap message and send it out the serial port to the pic .. If anyone can help much appreciated................

Also put some pics on my site to show my pic menu driven osd thingy......if interested have a look www.users.bigpond.com/armagh/   Go to Home Automation then next page and click on the picture...............
