RE: Install tips please!
Get some "Self Amalgamating Tape" and wrap it over the end of the
cable. It
turns to solid rubber and nothing will get through that.
When I was on one of my apprentice courses many moons ago, someone
decided
it would be fun to wrap my room key in Self Amalgamating tape and when I
got
it back about 2 hours later, my Yale key was a solid ball of rubber the
size
of a tennis ball. Took me most of the afternoon to cut it out of there!

Subject: [ukha_d] Install tips please!
I'm having a property stubstantially extended and want to have Sky+
installed in the extention. I've just received the Sky+ offer documents,
and
I believe that his offer is only available if you buy direct through
Sky.
The dilemmna I have is that I want the builder to run coax behind the
plasterboard ahead of time, but surely that means the ends will have to
be
left open to the elements until Sky turn up to replace the LNB and
install
the box.
I've phoned Sky and asked them to just deliver the box and LNB and that
I
would arrange for installation myself, but they won't have any of it. I
did
ask for a supervisor call back 48 hours ago, but I'm not holding my
breath.
I'm sure I'm not the only person in the country in this position, does
anyone have any ideas?
Tim.
