Using USB solution you can get a full 4 cameras surveillance system for arround 150 EURO?
 
How much you have to pay for a standard surveillance system with analog cameras instead?

P.S. Especially for home purpose, the USB solution in my opinion is the better one. More than that, standard analog systems use only video, without audio.

No cheap ones I'm afraid. Capture card and standard security cams is the
front running system it would appear.

i don't need color cameras just basic b/w will do

IIRC about 5M without a repeater, with 15M, again from memory I could be
wrong though.

I decided it was not a good plan to use webcams for security for this very
reason.
