I'm going to be trying this.
But i've got hold of a couple of outlet units to fit to the pc.

Bascially they are a pc backplate with 2 sockets.
You select the required voltage on the attached little circuit board (12v,
5v, 3v, I think).
The circuit board attaches (with supplied cable) to a psu power plug inside.
It comes with 2 leads, and for the business end comes with a variety of
different size plugs.
Basically a PC based wallwart.

Only, it will be at least the weekend before I can try them.
But can let you know how I get on.
