Yes,
of course. I have an opening in plaster so plumber have an access to
draining
pipe. There's plenty of space there, and I can screw it to one of wooden
battons.
However, I'm not sure if I need to enclose it, or not. And if yes,
how?

make sure that when you do put it behind the plaster you have
access to it to be able to change the fuse when it blows.
