RE: Getting a neat NTL installation
NTL installed by 2 normal land lines by going under the floor - there is
a
1.5m space under my ground floor floor.
They installed the external box at the front of the house & then passed
the
cable through a vent brick, under the floor and then up to my study
where
the socket is.

They will replace the cable anyway, because if there are problems later
and a senior tech sees non NTL cable then it's a bollocking for the
installers. RG6 I think it is. If you already have an easy enough route
for them to work with, they will be happy enough to do it.
