IME (with Telewest), the installation guys are decent blokes.  They'll
install to wherever you like, and leave a bit of extra cable for you too.

I doubt they'd go underground for you.  Depends whether extra work was
involved - they have a schedule.

Sadly, they're definitely the latter.  If you're worried about all of this,
your best bet is to get them to cable up to somewhere they can easily hide
cables.  You can then route the cables wherever you like.  Ask them to leave
a flying lead, as they have to get the TV and Internet working on the spot.
You can replace that lead however you see fit.  CT100 seems to work as a
replacement.
