Don't worry it will soon be re-connected!..........
My phone was disconnected for 6 months till I threatened court action, my
cable modem was disconnected for about a week!
To name but 2 items of woe............
Good luck, I have a proper phone number for their customer complaints, I
also reported them to OFTEL and trading standards.......

Subject: [ukha_d] Test email (and NTL moan!) - Sorry...
NTL have screwed up and deactivated my email account (along with
110,000 others according to the kid at the help desk!).
Something to do with customers who used to be on the free dial up
number then upgraded to broadband cable - the pop3 email addresses
are still associated with the free dial up accounts which, as the
service was discontinued last Jan / Feb, have all been deleted
without checking or transferring them to the cable modem accounts.
A wonderful piece of management and foresight there!
Pitty as up until now I've never had anything but praise for them.
I've been down for about 30 hours now and they have no idea when my
account will be back up and running. Hours, days or weeks I asked,
to which I was told "it could be some time" and he wouldn't like
to
hazard a guess...
I'd phone them back to complain again but don't fancy listening to
their elevator music for another half an hour when it's not a free
phone number - if the music was better I'd consider it :o)
Anyway - yahoo! has bounced over 100 emails so I've reset the yahoo!
account status to 'unbounced' and redirected emails to another
account - test emails are getting through but still nothing from
ukha_d despite seeing about a dozen messages appear on the web
interface in the past half hour since I rest the account.
