OT: APS Camera Suggestions

SWMBO's Dad is 70 RSN, so it has been decided to buy him a camera - not
a
new fangled digital jobbie, which any sensible person would want, but a
more
normal affair.

Anyone got any recommendations on APS cameras up to 150 quid?  Or even
a
link to a site that reviews said devices?
Key things are ease of use and ability to do it all manually if you
really
want, but can point and shoot when it's SWMBO's Dad's SWMBO using it!
