Yeah, it did get close as a starter.   As we've discussed before, different
discs give different results - I hoped, given your vast experience, that you
might say "after the optimiser, use this this and this disc to adjust the
piccie further to get an image that looks good on 90% of discs.... :/

It's not just the piccie quality, it's the quality of the programming :-(
These days, E4 gets most of my viewing.....
