I even have to order them special from my electrical wholesaler (rexel
senate)

Try one of others eg Edmondson's or CEF or Newey and Aire

When stuck I resort to 3A, sadly. Very against my wishes but  has to do.

Maybe you've got a domestic appliance spares shop nearby, the type that
sells vacuum bags, their often good for that type of thing.

I have a couple of LM12 with blown fuses. I can't seem to find the 2a ones
that were in there (have looked in Maplin, D&Q, Homebase etc).

Is it safe to put the 3a ones in, or is there someplace I can get the 2a
ones from that I am missing?

Steve
