OT - DIY.COM Rant Sorry

AHHHHH

Placed an order with B&Q on 1/11/02....... just some 100mm, 3m coving
to
finish off the bathroom (there is some HA stuff in there so could be
ambiguously ON topic) wasn't delivered on the Saturday (2nd) as
requested,
phoned them, "sorry we're out of stock, we'll refund the PnP and send
out
later this week". Great .........

It's now 20/11/02 and still no coving, spoke to Cust Serv this morning,
"sorry no record of that order"...... "but I've got a
confirmation email
with the order number".............. "sorry, we'll look into it,
fax me the
email"..............email faxed.....

This afternoon, lots of faxes..... can't find the order. They've got a
record of an old cancelled order (from Oct, guess what..coving not
delivered
125mm tho) Cust Serv Rep say they've discontinued them
now....but...but....

On the website they've got some, and I can still order them
online.......
"sorry sir"......."but hang on the product code is
this........"......."oh
we've got some of that in stock.............................."
......................"AHHHHHHHHHHHH"

"I'll have some of that then
please"........................"certainly sir
and we won't charge PnP".........."So what happened to the old
order
then?"..........."Sorry sir I can't see it on the
system"..................."Can I email you a copy of my
confirmation? What
email address?"

Just the same email address that sent the confirmation!!! "So if you
sent an
email to me confirming the order, surely you'll be able to track what
happened from there?"...................."Sorry sir I wouldn't
deal with
that......"
